Luke 17:6 – Faith is the stuff of the Kingdom

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- faith is the key to Kingdom life. Performance flows from faith.

Luke 17:6 TPT

[6] Jesus responded, “If you have even the smallest measure of authentic faith, it would be powerful enough to say to this large tree, ‘My faith will pull you up by the roots and throw you into the sea,’ and it will respond to your faith and obey you.”

Romans 7:4-6 – Participatory experience is the way to life.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- no more law to follow, rather reflecting my experience of God is the way to Kingdom life.

Romans 7:4-6 NLT

[4] So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. [5] When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death. [6] But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.

Romans 6:5-7,10-11 – Alive to God

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- I am becoming more alive to God around me, God within me, and my God-self shaping me.

Romans 6:5-7,10-11 NLT

[5] Since we have been united with him (Jesus) in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. [6] We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. [7] For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. [10] When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. [11] So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.

Luke 24:4-11 – Remember.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- Jesus’ truth always stands but often I walk away in disbelief, even though I know his truth.

Luke 24:4-11 MSG

[4-8] They were puzzled, wondering what to make of this. Then, out of nowhere it seemed, two men, light cascading over them, stood there. The women were awestruck and bowed down in worship. The men said, “Why are you looking for the Living One in a cemetery? He is not here but raised up. Remember how he told you when you were still back in Galilee that he had to be handed over to sinners, be killed on a cross, and in three days rise up?” Then they remembered Jesus’ words. [9-11] They left the tomb and broke the news of all this to the Eleven and the rest. Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them kept telling these things to the apostles, but the apostles didn’t believe a word of it, thought they were making it all up.

Romans 5:9-11 – The way to an expanding and deepening life.

This is the revelation that is shaping my life today- everyone is set right so they can live life.

Romans 5:9-11 MSG

[9-11] Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way. If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we’re at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life!

Luke 23:34 – Forgiven before I ask.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- forgiveness is critical to a healthy life. Forgiveness is freely already available to all.

Luke 23:34 NLT

[34] Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.”

Luke 22:25-27. – Does “serve me” – serve me well?

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- how deceptively powerful the world is at shaping me, or how easily I can walk away from my true self and be shaped by my false identity. “Serve me” seems to be my mantra, when the true me is a servant.

Luke 22:25-27 NIV

[25] Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. [26] But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. [27] For who is greater, the one who is at the table, or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.”

Romans 4:14-15,25 – No more laws

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- laws just lead to punishment, that’s why God did away with law. He came to save not to judge and dish out punishment.

Romans 4:14-15,25 NLT

[14] If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless. [15] For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!) [25] He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.

Romans 3:19-20,23-24 – Right with God!

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- it’s got nothing to do with me.

Romans 3:19-20,23-24 NLT

[19] Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. [20] For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. [23] For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. [24] Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

Luke 21:1-4 – The generous life.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- the story of who provides for me shapes my story of generosity.

Luke 21:1-4 NLT

[1] While Jesus was in the Temple, he watched the rich people dropping their gifts in the collection box. [2] Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small coins. [3] “I tell you the truth,” Jesus said, “this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them. [4] For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has.”
