Luke 8:9-10,18 – The listening heart

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the secrets and mysteries of the spiritual realm and heard by a listening heart, not an inquiring mind. And I have been given this heart. So I lack nothing to understand the secrets and mysteries of God, other than my choice to exercise my listening heart.

Luke 8:9-10,18 TPT
[9] Later his disciples came to Jesus and asked him privately what deeper meaning was found in this parable. [10] He said, “You have been given a teachable heart to perceive the secret, hidden mysteries of God’s kingdom realm. But to those who don’t have a listening heart, my words are merely stories. Even though they have eyes, they are blind to the true meaning of what I say, and even though they listen, they won’t receive full revelation. [18] So pay careful attention to your hearts as you hear my teaching, for to those who have open hearts, even more revelation will be given to them until it overflows. And for those who do not listen with open hearts, what little light they imagine to have will be taken away.”

Mark 6:51-52 – Supernaturally Stunted or Supernaturally Alive?

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – we are supernaturally saved to be supernaturally alive.
Mark 6:51-52 TPT
[51] Then he came closer and climbed into the boat with them, and immediately the stormy wind became still. They were completely and utterly overwhelmed with astonishment [52] because they failed to learn the lesson of the miracle of the loaves, and their hearts were unwilling to learn the lesson.

Mark 3:20-21 – Insane Jesus

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – you will never meet Jesus outside of encounters with the supernatural.
Mark 3:20-21 TPT
[20] Then Jesus went home, but once again a large crowd gathered around him, which prevented him from even eating a meal. [21] When his own family heard that he was there, they went out to seize him, for they said, “He’s insane!”

Mark 1:21-22 – Shut up, I want awestruck.

Here is the revelation shaping my life today – there is way too much talk and not enough awe and wonder in our lives with Jesus. It’s not meant to be this way. We have sanitised the beauty, danger, mystery and supernatural presence of God into a safely spoken religion about God who is as boring as religion has always been.
Mark 1:21-22 TPT
[21] Then Jesus and his disciples went to Capernaum, and he immediately started teaching on the Sabbath day in the synagogue. [22] The people were awestruck and overwhelmed by his teaching because he taught in a way that demonstrated God’s authority, which was quite unlike the religious scholars.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 – It’s not merely understood it’s experienced

Here is the revelation shaping my life today – the intellectual pursuit of God will never empower my conviction to live for him, like him, with him.
1 Thessalonians 1:5 TPT
[5] For our gospel came to you not merely in the form of words but in mighty power infused with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction.

John 14:15-17,26-27 – There Is Only One Teacher.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – we are not the teachers of each other, when we do we replace Heavens’ sent teacher – Holy Spirit.

John 14:15-17,26-27 NLT

[15] “If you love me, obey my commandments. [16] And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. [17] He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. 26] But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative-that is, the Holy Spirit-he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. [27] “I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

1 Corinthians 2:9-13 – There is no other way

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- God is not known through study He is only known through intimacy.

1 Corinthians 2:9-13 NLT

[9] That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” [10] But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. [11] No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. [12] And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. [13] When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.

Matthew 1:18,21 – Living supernaturally naturally

Here is the revelation shaping my life today:

This was how Jesus, God’s Anointed One, was born. His mother, Mary, had promised Joseph to be his wife, but while she was still a virgin she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

An angel tells Joseph about Mary…..”She will give birth to a son and you are to name him ‘Saviour,’ for he is destined to give his life to save his people from their sins.”

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 – The Spirit Pours out Life

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today…..

Yet we don’t see ourselves as capable enough to do anything in our own strength, for our true competence flows from God’s empowering presence. He alone makes us adequate ministers who are focused on an entirely new covenant. Our ministry is not based on the letter of the law but through the power of the Spirit. The letter of the law kills, but the Spirit pours out life.
