1 Corinthians 13:9,12-13 – Walking in the unknown of life
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- the deception of self reliance when I see partially and incompletely.
1 Corinthians 13:9,12-13 NLT
[9]now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! [12] Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. [13] Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.
Hebrews 10:14,18-20 This is the battle of my life.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- I either know myself as perfectly holy in the sight of God or I will never enter His presence.
Hebrews 10:14,18-20 TPT
[14] And by his one perfect sacrifice, he made us perfectly holy and complete for all time! [18] So if our sins have been forgiven and forgotten, why would we ever need to offer another sacrifice for sin? [19] And now we are brothers and sisters in God’s family because of the blood of Jesus, and he welcomes us to come right into the most holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm-boldly and with no hesitation. [20] For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him!
Matthew 14:28-31 – Fear and doubt or Jesus?
Here is the revelation shaping my life today:
Peter shouted out, “Lord, if it’s really you, then have me join you on the water!” “Come and join me,” Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out. Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and lifted him up and said, “What little faith you have! Why would you let doubt win?”
Psalm 112:1 – Intimacy over knowledge
Here is the revelation shaping my life today:
Everyone who loves the Lord and delights in him will cherish his words and be blessed beyond expectation.
Philippians 4:12-13 – Trained to overcome
Here is the revelation shaping my life today:
I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.
Matthew 15:8-9 – It’s a matter of the heart
This is the revelation shaping my life today:
These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.
Psalm 116:1,10-11 – Lover God
This is the revelation shaping my life today:
I am passionately in love with God because he listens to me. Even when it seems I’m surrounded by many liars and my own fears, and though I’m hurting in my suffering and trauma, I still stay faithful to God and speak words of faith.
Colossians 2:20-23 – Religion is dead
This is the revelation shaping my life today:
For you were included in the death of Christ and have died with him to the religious system and powers of this world. Don’t retreat back to being bullied by the standards and opinions of religion-for example, their strict requirements, “You can’t associate with that person!” or, “Don’t eat that!” or, “You can’t touch that!”. These are the doctrines of men and corrupt customs that are worthless to help you spiritually. For though they may appear to possess the promise of wisdom in their submission to God through the deprivation of their physical bodies, it is actually nothing more than empty rules rooted in religious rituals!
Matthew 16:16-17,22-23 – The clash of Kingdoms
This is the revelation shaping my life today:
Simon Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the living God!” Jesus replied, “You are favored and privileged Simeon, son of Jonah! For you didn’t discover this on your own, but my Father in heaven has supernaturally revealed it to you.
Peter took him aside to correct him privately. He reprimanded Jesus over and over, saying to him, “God forbid, Master! Spare yourself. You must never let this happen to you!” Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get out of my way, you Satan! You are an offense to me, because your thoughts are only filled with man’s viewpoints and not with the ways of God.”
