Romans 2:4 – kindness leads to licence or repentance?
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – what do I do with Gods kindness towards me? Do I know it? Do I use it and abuse it? Or does it lead me into full life?

John 7:16-17 – Study or Sit?
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – how do you know the ways of God? Study the word or sit at his feet. The first must lead to the second, for all real knowing comes from intimate engagement.

[16] So Jesus responded, “I don’t teach my own ideas, but the truth revealed to me by the One who sent me. [17] If you want to test my teachings and discover where I received them, first be passionate to do God’s will, and then you will be able to discern if my teachings are from the heart of God or from my own opinions.

Romans 1:20 – God everywhere.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – God whilst invisible has made his nature, himself, visible in creation and fully in Jesus. So knowing what God is like only evades those who refuse to stop and see. I am guilty of this.

[20] Opposition to truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s nature have been made visible, such as his eternal power and transcendence. He has made his wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without excuse.
John 6:65 – Everyone needs enabling.
Here is the revelation that is showing my life today – we make so much of life about what we can achieve on our own, and God wants us to do nothing on our own. Love always wants to be involved and enable me to do what I can’t do on my own.

[65] He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”
John 4:21 – Close the door and open your heart.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – there is only one true place of worship, heart worship. Our buildings carry no significance and can hinder heart worship when held out as the place where we meet God.

[21] “Believe me, dear woman, the time has come when you won’t worship the Father on a mountain nor in Jerusalem, but in your heart.
John 2:23-25 – Known and Loved!
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – nothing that is kept in the dark can be healed by the light. But I will only bring into the light what I think the light can handle.

[23] While Jesus was at the Passover Feast, the number of his followers began to grow, and many gave their allegiance to him because of all the miraculous signs they had seen him doing! [24] But Jesus did not yet entrust himself to them, because he knew how fickle human hearts can be. [25] He didn’t need anyone to tell him about human nature, for he fully understood what man was capable of doing.
1 John 3:5-6,8 – Intimacy is the answer to sin
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the more I am with Jesus the more I see myself, as a man with no sin. Union with him eradicates sin in me.

[5] And you know without a doubt that Jesus was revealed to eradicate sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in union with him will not sin. [6] But the one who continues sinning hasn’t seen him with discernment or known him by intimate experience. [8] The reason the Son of God was revealed was to undo and destroy the works of the devil.
2 Peter 1:17 – Turn on the delight
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the motivation for following Jesus must be found in the pleasure of his presence.

Luke 23:44-46 – Ripped for good
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – what God rips no one should try and repair. The way into God’s presence is completely open, don’t try and reestablish barriers to entry.

[45] And suddenly in the temple, the thick veil hanging in the Holy Place was ripped in two! 1 Peter 3:8-9 – Life goals!
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – I get life upside down in my priorities so easily and so quickly and then I wonder why life yields me what I strive for. The true goal of life is relationships of love, so sow here and reap accordingly.

[8] Now, this is the goal: to live in harmony with one another and demonstrate affectionate love, sympathy, and kindness toward other believers. Let humility describe who you are as you dearly love one another. [9] Never retaliate when someone treats you wrongly, nor insult those who insult you, but instead, respond by speaking a blessing over them because a blessing is what God promised to give you.
Luke 16:15 – Stop the show and be seen.
Here is the revelation that is having my life today – we play games with God to impress others and we miss the beauty of his knowing us.

[15] So Jesus addressed them directly. “You always want to look spiritual in the eyes of others, but you have forgotten the eyes of God, which see what is inside you. The very things that you approve of and applaud are the things God despises.
James 1:23-24 – Will the real me step forward
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – I create a me that is not my true self. I then see me in Him, the divine me, the me I always have been but lost in the journey. It’s in my encounter with Him that I discover myself and then become me. I live my revelation.

[23] If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning. [24] You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word, but then you go out and forget your divine origin.
Hebrews 7:19,25,27 – What God has closed may no one reopen.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the way to live intimately loved by God is completely, forever open to all.

[19] For the law has never made anyone perfect, but in its place is a far better hope which gives us confidence to experience intimacy with God! [25] So he is able to save fully from now throughout eternity, everyone who comes to God through him, because he lives to pray continually for them.
