Romans 2:4 – kindness leads to licence or repentance?

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – what do I do with Gods kindness towards me? Do I know it? Do I use it and abuse it? Or does it lead me into full life?

Romans 2:4  TPT
[4] Do the riches of his extraordinary kindness make you take him for granted and despise him? Haven’t you experienced how kind and understanding he has been to you? Don’t mistake his tolerance for acceptance. Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance?

John 3:17 – No more judging

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – judge or rescuer, decide on your role in the world and live accordingly. You will not be able to serve both these masters, one will trump the other. You will either be a condemner or a lover.

John 3:17 TPT
[17] “God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it!

Luke 20:46 – Beware of the experts

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – do not allow the self-proclaimed, dressed up, experts of the law rob you from the foundations of the law – love and acceptance, righteousness in Christ.

Luke 20:46 TPT
[46] “Don’t follow the example of these pretentious experts of the law! They love to parade around in their clergy robes so that they are honoured wherever they go, sitting right up front in every meeting and pushing for the head table at every banquet.

Luke 15:21 – Shut up, welcome home.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – we try and manipulate God to give us less based on what we perceive we deserve when she extravagantly gives us everything regardless of our deservedness.

Luke 15:21 TPT
[21] “Then the son said, ‘Father, I was wrong. I have sinned against you. I could never deserve to be called your son. Just let me be-‘ “The father interrupted and said, ‘Son, you’re home now!’

Hebrews 10:1,9,14,18,20 – Can you believe this?

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – I am home free, no more sacrifices required of me, only the faithfulness to come and be loved.

Hebrews 10:1 TPT
[1] The old system of living under the law presented us with only a faint shadow, a crude outline of the reality of the wonderful blessings to come. …9] And then he said, “God, I will be the one to go and do your will.” So by being the sacrifice that removes sin, he abolishes animal sacrifices and replaces that entire system with the new covenant…..14] And by his one perfect sacrifice he made us perfectly holy and complete for all time!….18] So if our sins have been forgiven and forgotten, why would we ever need to offer another sacrifice for sin?…..20) For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him!…..22] We come closer to God and approach him with an open heart, fully convinced by faith that nothing will keep us at a distance from him. For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to remove impurity and we have been freed from an accusing conscience and now we are clean, unstained, and presentable to God inside and out!

Luke 5:4-6,8,10 – Logic and self-assessment keep me from abundance.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – God holds nothing back from me, and I create the reasons for rejection.

Luke 5:4-6,8,10 NIV
[4] When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” [5] Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” [6] When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. [8] When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” [10] and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.”

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – heaven declares me to be the man I want to be. I will accept the declaration and stop my attempts to write it myself.
Colossians 1:19-22 NLT
[19] For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, [20] and through him, God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. [21] This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. [22] Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – how deeply acceptance is measured by performance, and how this is not the story of heaven.

Matthew 12:1-2 – You Don’t Have To Swim Between The Flags

Ephesians 2:14-16 – Law Dead, Hostility Gone

This is the revelation that is shaping my life today – I see just how tragic law makes me. How hostile I come in defending my regulations and commands against yours. Man, this is ugly on a huge scale that needs to be exposed in the mirror.
Ephesians 2:14-16 NLT
[14] For Christ, himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. [15] He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. [16] Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 – Weakness is Good

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – weakness is not to be hidden but embraced.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NLT
[7] So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. [8] Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. [9] Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me. [10] That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
