Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the more I increase in love the wiser I become and I have a greater ability for insight and decision making. We think knowledge leads to wisdom, but the God who is love says “love leads to wisdom.” The lens through which we were created to navigate life is the lens of love. So the more I am being loved, the more I experience loves embrace, the more wisdom I have to navigate life. It my not be wisdom that has me always win, it may not be wisdom that has me always get, it may not be the wisdom that has me climb, but it’s the wisdom that brings Heaven to earth.

Philippians 1:9 TPT
[9] I continue to pray for your love to grow and increase beyond measure, bringing you into the rich revelation of spiritual insight in all things.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – it seems like in the world today everyone is looking for rest. We think a holiday will meet our need, but we are always upon return needing to holiday again. It’s our souls that need rest. What we are seeking is not found in a great hotel (although I like great hotels), what we are seeking is rest in our hearts, where we find our belonging, significance and security.

Matthew 11:28-30  NIV
[28] “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the enablement for relationship with God is God given. He is not moved to relational integrity by me, He forever stands firm, and my firm standing is not founded on my heroic love behaviours, but in Him and all He gives me.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 NIV
[21] Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, [22] set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today. So many people live from a story of separated from God, usually seen through the lens of unworthiness. But the reality is that no one is separated from God, he made it that way before he created anything. So for all time you have always and already been perfectly right with God, loved by Him, called son and daughter by Him. Love’s not waiting for you to sort yourself out, love went first and just sorted it all out. All that is left to allow love to love you. Start saying yes to love and Her deep desire to embrace and hold you. Love already loves you, just be loved. There is no separation to overcome, love already has overcome.

Ephesians 1:4-6 TPT
[4] And he chose us to be his very own, joining us to himself even before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence. [5-6] For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that his tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace-for the same love he has for his Beloved One, Jesus, he has for us. And this unfolding plan brings him great pleasure!

Here is the revelation shaping my life today – religious observances can replace the journey of becoming. We sell discipleship so short when we make it about doing and not becoming. We can serve the means with great committed attention but miss entirely the end that Jesus has designed for us – being like Him, the fullest expression of the truest form of me.

2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
[18] And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – you don’t purchase the Kingdom, you find it and then you sell everything because you have been embraced by the kingdoms beauty.

Matthew 13:45-46 NIV
[45] “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. [46] When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – when our salvation story starts with separation from God because of my sin, then it is easy to believe that my sin can ultimately separate me from God into eternity, but this is not the story. Sin has been punished, once and for all, it has no voice. So what does my life lived here mean in terms of consequences in the future eternity of then? It’s not entry it’s rewards.

2 Corinthians 5:10 TPT
[10] For one day we will all be openly revealed before Christ on his throne so that each of us will be duly recompensed for our actions done in life, whether good or worthless.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – fear seeks to feed us when storms are present. You can’t stop the storms but you can choose what you feed on – fear or faith.

Matthew 8:23-26 TPT
[23] They all got into a boat and began to cross over to the other side of the lake. And Jesus, exhausted, fell asleep. [24] Suddenly a violent storm developed, with waves so high the boat was about to be swamped. Yet Jesus continued to sleep soundly. [25] The disciples woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We’re going to die!” [26] But Jesus reprimanded them. “Why are you gripped with fear? Where is your faith?” Then he stood up and rebuked the storm and said, “Be still!” And instantly it became perfectly calm.

Here is the revelation that is that shaping my life today – have I lost sight of the truest sense of myself? Becoming me is not an exercise in obedience it’s the journey of being continually surprised by love. When I’m loved then the way I see you changes.

Matthew 7:12  TPT
[12] “In everything you do, be careful to treat others in the same way you’d want them to treat you, for that is the essence of all the teachings of the Law and the Prophets.”

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the seduction to worship is all around us. My brokenness looks for healing in false promises so often, and bends my knee to their promises. When God offers to bring me into fullness of life and healing.

Matthew 4:8-10 TPT
[8] And the third time the accuser lifted Jesus up into a very high mountain range and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and all the splendor that goes with it. [9] “All of these kingdoms I will give to you,” the accuser said, “if only you will kneel down before me and worship me.” [10] But Jesus said, “Go away, enemy! For the Scriptures say: Kneel before the Lord your God and worship only him.”

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – fear of sin can kill the grace that overcomes sin. If we make the presence of God dependant upon my meeting of any form of performance criteria, then we have closed the door on the only way that presence of sin is ever overcome. It’s only in His presence that I  am enabled  for the life He invites me into.

1 Corinthians 10:23-24 TPT
[23] You say, “Under grace there are no rules and we’re free to do anything we please.” Not exactly. Because not everything promotes growth in others. Your slogan, “We’re allowed to do anything we choose,” may be true-but not everything causes the spiritual advancement of others. [24] So don’t always seek what is best for you at the expense of another.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – generosity is a heart issue and flows in joy. Whilst generosity never seeks to get, in the economy of the Kingdom it is the soil that realises the harvest of the extravagance of heaven. God desires to be so deeply extravagant towards us but He can’t, He doesn’t get His way, the nature of His being, love, mediates the release of His desire. God is never postured in any other way than to pour His extravagance upon us, the question is are we postured to say “yes” to His outpouring?

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 TPT
[6] Here’s my point. A stingy sower will reap a meager harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest. [7] Let giving flow from your heart, not from a sense of religious duty. Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving-all because God loves hilarious generosity! [8] Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything-every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.
