Gods power and presence

Romans 1:20 – Evidence Everywhere

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- God makes himself known everywhere to everyone.

Romans 1:20 NLT

[20] Forever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Observation

How often I miss the fingerprints of God everywhere. Creation itself speaks of its creator. It shows us God’s power and nature. The beauty of creation tells us that God loves beauty. The freedom of creation tells us that He is a God of freedom. The joy and inspiration found in creation tell us that God desires us to live full bold lives. The intricate design shows the intelligence of God. The interconnectedness of creation tells us that God made us for interconnectedness. The provision of creation for creation tells us that God is a God who provides. The way creation is taken care of shows us that God cares for us. Creation is a testimony of its creator.

Science has never been able to disprove a creative force behind creation. Every time it climbs the hill of discovery it finds God, a creative being, waiting there as the only explanation. When we stop our disbelief and look at creation with a ‘creator behind all this lens,’ we will have no “excuse for not knowing God.” And we will see an amazing God.

How often I take for granted all that creation provides for me. When I recognise the creator I now have a place for my gratitude. God’s enemy wants me to look at the world and see all its brokenness, and live from a place of lack, lack of hope, lack of beauty, lack of God. But whilst never walking away from the brokenness God wants me to look at His creation and embrace the brokenness with hope, possibility, and His presence.

Application

Holy Spirit open my eyes to the fingerprints of God and His presence within His creation. Release me to gratitude and praise as opposed to entitlement. May my posture for life be one of awe and mar ale at my generous, good, providing God.

Response

Thank you for the revelation of you in creation. Thank you that you are present with me but also present all around me. Thank you that you desire to be known, intimately known. Thank you for eyes, ears, and senses to take in all the beauty and majesty of your creation. Thank you that it was for me. How do I take that in? I am blessed.

Meditation

Take a few moments to see God and be grateful for His presence in His creation.
