Love

Acts 14:16-17 – It’s Clear.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – you can be blinded to the things that are plain to see right in front of you. You can miss beauty and love displayed clearly before you. You just need a new perspective, new eyes to see.

Acts 14:16-17 NLT

[16] In the past he permitted all the nations to go their own ways, [17] but he never left them without evidence of himself and his goodness. For instance, he sends you rain and good crops and gives you food and joyful hearts.”

Observation

Divine love never manipulates, stipulates, or threatens, it allows people to go their own ways. Love allows its footprints to be seen and within the footprint is the invitation to experience. God has left evidence of himself all over His creation. People are never without the knowledge that there is a ‘goodness’ within our reach. God is not concerned by the name you call Him but that you meet His love. Like bread crumbs in the forest, God has left his mark for us to follow and find our way home to Him.

The challenge is to have eyes to see. We are so attuned to missing love and seeing the chaos. We have lost our eyes for wonder and awe and so we miss love. We are so distracted with making it our way that we can’t see love has made a way. Creations beauty tells of loves goodness but we don’t stop to see and smell the lingering presence of love. We are in conflict, being right and keeping those that are wrong condemned, that we miss the harmony of creation and the oneness and unity of love it displays.

Imagine if we stopped and saw love? Imagine if we allowed ourselves to be captured by love’s beauty around us? Imagine if our lives became shaped by love? What would our lives be like if we knew love, knew loves goodness, and allowed our hearts to be filled with loves joy? If only we looked around!

Application

I will shape my life by the evidence of love. I will come and be loved and then be love. I will not allow my life to be closed to love’s evidence and displays. Daily I will have eyes for love and live from the gratitude of this encounter.

Response

Thanks for leaving the evidence of you and your invitation to your love everywhere. Thank you for your provision and the joy of knowing I am loved. Being loved is living blessed. All of life flows from here.

Meditation

Meditation truth – God never leaves us without evidence of himself and his goodness.

Consider:

Do you take the time to see love?

Do you see the evidence of God around you?
