Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – being a passionate pure lover is empowered by my obedience to the truth of my rebirth story.
1 Peter 1:22-23 TPT
[22] Now, because of your obedience to the truth, you have purified your very souls, and this empowers you to be full of love for your fellow believers. So express this sincere love toward one another passionately and with a pure heart. [23] For through the eternal and living Word of God you have been born again. And this “seed” that he planted within you can never be destroyed but will live and grow inside of you forever.
Observation
The truth is that I have been born again in Jesus. Born into the family of God, I am a son, I have a new family line. Born into a restored true self me that is the restoration of the image of God in me. Born into citizenship in the Kingdom of God, I understand myself as a spiritual being, not a physical only. Born into an uninterrupted, perfect relationship with God based on what Jesus has done and nothing that I do. It’s obedience to this truth that purifies my soul from its previous ways of thinking and feeling about me. Obedience means I shape my life in this truth, I see myself in this truth, I live, see and speak from this truth. My obedience reshapes my whole life in this truth.
From this new story, I am now empowered for love. This reborn identity, shaping story, and God’s uninterrupted presence with me, releases the power of love in me and through me. For God is love, so as I walk in Him, in Him, I am empowered for love. So go and love, passionately and purely. Let this new reborn life overflow in love. The new you is the lover you, so embrace you and passionately love. Run a love rampage on all who you meet, it’s who you now are. This seed of love, if you remain obedient to the truth or your rebirth, will grow in you forever and never be destroyed.
I don’t manufacture love, love flows most naturally from the reborn me. I don’t put my shoulder to the wheel of love and grind it out. I walk intimately, faithfully, obediently to the truth of my reborn self and love manifests as an outworking of this. It’s my obedience to my new self-story of heavenly rebirth that empowers me as a lover. I don’t love well outside of this.
The world’s system of love is to get love from others because you need and deserve to be loved. Take love from anyone, seduce love from anyone, buy love, do whatever it takes, sell yourself, to get love. But this is not love. Heavenly love, God love, is not a get story, it’s a give story. This is pure love. From my reborn story of being outrageously loved I overflow love. I don’t need you to top up my love tank, I don’t need to get love from you, my obedience to my rebirth story keeps me brimmed in love, so I now overflow, I am now empowered to give love. This is true love.
Application
I will live constantly aware that the story I tell myself will shape my life. I will obediently tell myself the story of rebirth through Jesus into the heavenly family of God. From this shaping story, I will watch on in awe as love flows from me. I will choose to see give love flow from my life. I will live passionately and purely loving others from the fullness of the love I live in.

Thank you for rebirth, restored to true self and restored to you. How can I ever fully understand and be fully grateful for the immensity of what this means? I will live exploring its fullness, living in gratitude overflowing in generosity to others. Thank you that you fill me, empower me, release me, in giving love, pure love. I am so deeply loved that I am now empowered to passionately and purely love. How blessed am I that I know true love and my life is shaped by love! I am your beloved, I will now go and be your love.
