Luke 21:27-28 – There is reason to be jumping!

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – no matter what today brings there is a full transformation in my story!

Luke 21:27-28 TPT
[27-28] “And at last, when you see how the Son of Man comes-surrounded with a cloud, with great power and miracles, in the radiance of his splendour, and with great glory and praises-it will make you jump for joy! For the day of your full transformation has arrived.”

Observation

Jesus is answering the question here of what will happen at the end of the ages. This is what awaits us he says – “full transformation.” My dad did not wait for the last days, last night he entered into a full transformation. I can only imagine the joy and jumping, even though Len was not traditionally a ‘jumper’, I am sure in the full presence of Jesus we will respond outside our normal response self.

“Full transformation,” what a promise, what a picture, what a future. This frail body and our broken existence are transformed into the full intention of our creator, made in his image to live in full reception of his presence, enjoying the fullness of the beauty and brilliance of the created order as she intended all along. You can only imagine it, but be assured it will “make you jump for joy!” I think the jumping is an understatement challenged by the lack of language to adequately communicate what we will experience.

Death really is the beauty of life, as all of life, leads all of us, to this point of bowing and jumping at the splendour and radiance of the saviour. Full transformation only comes through death and resurrection. Life is full of death and resurrection moments and seasons, and ultimately it is death that opens the door to full transformation. We mourn the loss, which is our response to the absence of the joy we experienced in the life of the ones we love, but there is no loss in full transformation, only jumping for joy! I see Len jumping for joy and it makes me laugh.

Application

Live here ready for there. Full transformation is around the corner, so get fit for the jumping. Live in deep and shaping full expectation with faith-filled hope of my full transformation. Mourn and grieve the loss of dads presence with me here from the context of his jumping joy there!

Response

Thank you that you give me such deep hope and joy on days of sadness. Thank you that my future is assured and that all that is broken here will be made right with you. I will not be shaped by brokenness but shaped by tranformedness. I love that I do life now in you and then with you, can a man be more blessed? I feel a little jumping coming on! Thanks, Jesus for my dad! (Now the tears).

Meditation

Meditate – For the day of your full transformation has arrived.

Consider:
How often do I allow the brokenness of today to obscure the beauty of my future? Am I jumping at full transformation, or do I leave the promise on the shelf not allowing it to be a shaping upon me here?
How do I mourn well? With tears of loss and visions of jumping.
