Living abundantly Salvation

Hebrews 9:26,28 – Leave buried what has been abolished.

Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today -Does modern man still live in the dark ages? A new age has dawned, it’s the age where sin has been abolished, am I living here?

Hebrews 9:26,28 TPT
….But now he has appeared at the fulfilment of the ages to abolish sin once and for all by the sacrifice of himself! ……28] But when we die we will be face-to-face with Christ, the One who experienced death once for all to bear the sins of many! And now to those who eagerly await him, he will appear a second time; not to deal with sin, but to bring us the fullness of salvation.

Observation

There is no “I” in sin. I am no longer seen through the lens of my sin for sin has been abolished. Not the presence of sin, but the power of sin to shape me in the eyes of God. The sacrifice of Jesus is able to cover all my sins, for all time, so there is no “I” in sin. Jesus came to bear the sin of all, so sin no longer needs to be dealt with for its power to separate me from God, its power to kill my relationship has been abolished. The only “I” there is now is “I” in Christ. “When we die we will be face-to-face with Christ,” in the fullness of salvation.

God does not punish sin, he has abolished it. Sin carries its own punishment, which is so very obvious, but this punishment is inherent in sin itself, not a judgement of God. God is interested in bringing me into the fullness of salvation, the release of the true self me, the made in his image me, the divine self me. But this is not through the punishment of sin but rather the presence of himself. God abolished sin so that I never need to abandon his presence. You see the fullness of salvation comes from my intimate personal encounters of her presence. Here my revelation progressively becomes clearer as I encounter her. My awareness of who I am and the healing required for me to be me is released in the intimacy of the journey. Everything flows from intimacy, this is why sin had to be abolished as an interference to intimacy.

The old age of law, sacrifice, temple, and priests, has been fulfilled, no longer required, because sin has been abolished. All these were given as gifts from God to help us deal with the presence of sin. But they were unable to do what God had always planned to do, that is create intimacy between him and his people. So God comes personally and abolishes sin so that intimacy could reign unhindered. So no more need for the things of the old age, a new age has dawned in Jesus where there is no “I” in sin, so no judgement, no condemnation, no shame, no disqualification, just righteousness and peace and invitation to her presence. Nothing can hinder intimacy except our personal decline or rejection to come and enjoy God.

The church’s incessant felt need to point its fingers in judgement at things outside of itself that do not bring pleasure to God has been interpreted as a rearming of sin by those outside the church, as it would be. It is heard to say, “God has an issue with sin, so God has an issue with me.” So that which God has abolished and defeated is once again given centre stage and rearmed. What a travesty. So effectively the church has destroyed the best news this planet could ever hear and receive, ‘open unhindered intimacy with the creator is available for all.’ And for what end? To defend God? To change people’s behaviour? God needs no defending and the intimacy of love is the only transformative power that God will ever be part of. We go back to the ways of an age that has been long fulfilled and closed, resurrecting law, sacrifice, priests and temples because sin is back on the agenda, and in so doing destroy the beauty and power of the age inaugurated in the person of Jesus of intimacy, peace, love and beauty, where sin has been abolished. When will we put our fingers away and point the way to intimacy open to all through the abolishment of sin?

Application

Shut up, cut your finger off if you need to unless you are pointing the way to intimacy. Live personally in the freedom of intimate love and from here reflect its beauty and invitation. Allow the intimacy that is possible when there is no “I” in sin to transform my life, to heal me, and to send me. Flow in the rhythms of intimacy as a way of life and a value of life. Never hinder others from entering into intimacy based on my judgement of sin. Forgiveness, freedom, and unhindered presence is the only message of my life. I will be an agent of reconciliation. I will confidently allow the transformative power of intimate love to bring any change in my life and the life of others.

Response

Thank you for the new age in which I live. Thank you for abolishing the power of sin. Thank you for unhindered intimacy with love. I cannot find this anywhere but in you, and it is what I was created for. I can only become this from the intimacy of you, and that is who I truly am. What an age you have brought in, if only we would come in.

Meditation

Meditate – he has abolished sin once and for all.

Consider:
What place, voice, and power do I give sin in my life?
How free am I to enter her intimate love?
