This is the revelation that is shaping my life today – God brings revelation of my identity in His word, I see it, hear it, even agree with it, but do I allow it to shape my identity?
James 1:23-24 TPT
If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning. You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word, but then you go out and forget your divine origin.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today- I either know myself as perfectly holy in the sight of God or I will never enter His presence.
Hebrews 10:14,18-20 TPT
And by his one perfect sacrifice, he made us perfectly holy and complete for all time! So if our sins have been forgiven and forgotten, why would we ever need to offer another sacrifice for sin? And now we are brothers and sisters in God’s family because of the blood of Jesus, and he welcomes us to come right into the most holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm-boldly and with no hesitation. For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him!
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – I can die to the ways of God by pleasing people who do not know His ways.
Mark 15:15 TPT
Because he wanted to please the people, Pilate released Barabbas to them. After he had Jesus severely beaten with a whip made of leather straps and embedded with metal, he sentenced him to be crucified.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – I have made it, I am not working towards God I am living from His feast of life. But I must be aware and responsible of the seduction of rebellion and unbelief.
Hebrews 3:1,12,16,19 TPT
And so, dear brothers and sisters, you are now made holy, and each of you is invited to the feast of your heavenly calling. So fasten your thoughts fully onto Jesus, whom we embrace as our Apostle and King-Priest. So search your hearts every day, my brothers and sisters, and make sure that none of you has evil or unbelief hiding within you. For it will lead you astray, and make you unresponsive to the living God. The same people who were delivered from bondage and brought out of Egypt by Moses were the ones who heard and still rebelled. It is clear that they could not enter into their inheritance because they wrapped their hearts in unbelief.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – Sin is abolished – inheritance is available.
Hebrews 9:15,26 TPT
So Jesus is the One who has enacted a new covenant with a new relationship with God so that those who accept the invitation will receive the eternal inheritance he has promised to his heirs. For he died to release us from the guilt of the violations committed under the first covenant…. 26 he has appeared at the fulfillment of the ages to abolish sin once and for all by the sacrifice of himself!
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – we are all passionate hypocrites stumbling like children into the bold, big life of the Kingdom.
Mark 14:27-31 TPT
Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away and desert me. This will fulfill the prophecy of the Scripture that says: I will strike down the shepherd and all the sheep will scatter far and wide. “But after I am risen, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.” Then Peter spoke up and said, “Even if all the rest lose their faith and fall away, I will still be beside you, Jesus!” Jesus said, “Mark my words, Peter. This very night, before the rooster crows twice a few hours from now, you will utterly deny that you know me three times.” But Peter was insistent and replied emphatically, “I will absolutely not! Under no circumstances will I ever deny you-even if I have to die with you!” And all the others repeated the same thing.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – there is a new day, a new way – God wants to show me life from the intimacy of His leading.
Hebrews 8:10- 12 TPT
“For here is the covenant I will one day establish with the people of Israel: I will embed my laws within their thoughts and fasten them onto their hearts. I will be their loyal God and they will be my loyal people. And the result of this will be that everyone will know me as Lord! There will be no need at all to teach their fellow-citizens or brothers by saying, ‘You should know the Lord Jehovah,’ since everyone will know me inwardly, from the most unlikely to the most distinguished. For I will demonstrate my mercy to them and will forgive their evil deeds, and never remember again their sins.”
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – religion is repulsive but still present manipulating people for its own advantage. Beware!
Mark 12:38-40 TPT
Jesus also taught the people, “Beware of the religious scholars. They love to parade around in their clergy robes and be greeted with respect on the street. They crave to be made the leaders of synagogue councils, and they push their way to the head table at banquets. For appearance’s sake, they will pray long religious prayers at the homes of widows for an offering, cheating them out of their very livelihood. Beware of them all, for they will one day be stripped of honor, and the judgment they receive will be severe.”
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – God closed forever religion. He desires that there is nothing that stands between me and His intimate presence.
Hebrews 7:24-25,27 TPT
But Jesus permanently holds his priestly office, since he lives forever and will never have a successor! So he is able to save fully from now throughout eternity, everyone who comes to God through him, because he lives to pray continually for them. Unlike the former high priests, he is not compelled to offer daily sacrifices. They had to bring a sacrifice first for their own sins, then for the sins of the people, but he finished the sacrificial system, once and for all, when he offered himself.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the powerful stand off between faith and doubt, and the deep shaping impact doubt can have on my experience of the life God intends.
Hebrews 4:2-3 TPT
For we have heard the good news of deliverance just as they did, yet they didn’t join their faith with the Word. Instead, what they heard didn’t affect them deeply, for they doubted. For those of us who believe, faith activates the promise and we experience the realm of confident rest!
The revelation that is shaping my life – God is all powerful and all knowing but this does not mean those who love him will not experience shattered hearts.
Psalm 147:3,5 TPT
He heals the wounds of every shattered heart. How great is our God! There’s absolutely nothing his power cannot accomplish, and he has infinite understanding of everything.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – there is a surrender required, a willingness to walk away from the life I have created in order to walk into the true life that God holds out to me. I must die and be resurrected into His new life.
Mark 8:34-35 TPT
Jesus summoned the crowd, along with his disciples, and had them gather around. And he said to them: “If you truly want to follow me, you should at once completely disown your own life. And you must be willing to share my cross and experience it as your own, as you continually surrender to my ways. For if you let your life go for my sake and for the sake of the gospel, you will continually experience true life. But if you choose to keep your life for yourself, you will forfeit what you try to keep.
Here is the revelation that is shaping my life today – the depth by which God has gone to to know me and be known to me. I am never alone, or unknown, in the walk of this life.
Hebrews 2:14,17-18 TPT
Since all his “children” have flesh and blood, so Jesus became human to fully identify with us. He did this, so that he could experience death and annihilate the effects of the intimidating accuser who holds against us the power of death. This is why he had to be a Man and take hold of our humanity in every way. He made us his brothers and sisters and became our merciful and faithful King-Priest before God; as the One who removed our sins to make us one with him. He suffered and endured every test and temptation, so that he can help us every time we pass through the ordeals of life
